Sometimes fate creates the perfect (snow) storm.
Sasha L’Adore never imagined her life could be this miserable. After an injury ends her storied career as a prima ballerina, she’s forced to jump into Plan B years ahead of schedule. She always pictured running her mother’s dance studio as the perfect way to move into the next chapter of her life, but not when she’s supposed to be in the prime of her career.
Mason Devine has lost everyone he’s ever loved, literally. After a life filled with grief and a heavy heart, he’s content living in his cabin in the woods and crafting the maple syrup he’s become known for. A dedicated bachelor, Mason knows that if you don’t let anyone in, you can’t lose them. But when an unexpected snow storm blows a waify woman right onto his doorstep, he has no idea he’s about to open the door to a whole new life.
She’s going to dance right into his heart.

My Thoughts:

This was a soft and gentle love story. It starts off fast and furious speeding through time with one event after another but then as the book finds its grove, it slows down to a gentle pace.
Sasha finds herself back home in Bethlehem after a dancing accident changes her career and life forever. Out on a walk, she’s in need of a man in shining armour, her very own mountain man, Mason. The last thing Mason wants is to rescue this woman, but she mesmerises him right from the start.
They slowly get to know one another over a few days trapped in Mason’s cabin while a storm rages outside and one thing leads to another, but we have a few steamy scenes.
I would have liked a little more drama, as I did feel my mind wander quite a bit with the sleepy narrative, but the characters were likeable enough, and it made for a pleasant short read.
