Reading Challenge Category: A catch-up Flirt Club book
He was her first kiss. Her teenage crush. The guy she pined after for years. He is also her older brother’s best friend who dissed her when he left without a backwards glance. As if she was as forgettable as that kiss they shared. Now four years later, Jase Lathrop sits across the holiday dinner table from Cecelia Sundstrom, looking at her as if he wants to stuff her like the Thanksgiving turkey. Cecelia might still be angry at Jase for leaving her, but it is Thanksgiving. And there’s always room for a second helping.
This was a short and romantic story. It was an excellent light read and gave you a warm glow inside. Cecelia had a crush on her older brother’s best friend when she was a teenager. When he turns up to Thanksgiving years later, she finds out that the feelings were mutual. After a hot and heavy session together when they finally get the house to themselves, they admit to their mutual crush. This was very sweet and lovely. It was well-written, and you could really feel the emotions from the two characters. Even though the book is really short so you don’t get to know the characters that much you do feel a connection to them and want them to have their happy ever after. A brilliant addition to the Second Helpings collaboration from the Flirt Club.
