Official Blurb:

Grace is about to turn ninety and she doesn't want parties or presents or fuss. She just wants a quiet celebration: her daily swim in the sea and a cup of tea with granddaughter Elin and great-granddaughter Beca. More than anything, she wants to heal the family rift that's been breaking her heart for decades.
And to do that she must find her daughter, Alys - the only person who can help to put things right. But thirty years is a long time.

So is it too late now to heal the pain of the past?

My Thoughts:

Approaching "Love Untold" by Ruth Jones, I harboured uncertainty about my enjoyment, not being particularly in the mood for it initially. However, to my surprise, the narrative managed to captivate me, leading to a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The book possessed an authenticity that made it stand out, leaving an impression destined to linger in my memory.
The incorporation of past chapters intricately weaving into the present-day storyline added a layer of depth to the narrative, enhancing my overall appreciation. While not laden with action, the story's charm emanated from the likeable characters. Even those with somewhat abrasive qualities, like Elin and Alys, proved to be endearing due to the skilful and well-rounded writing.
"Love Untold" emerged as a real gem, defying my initial reservations. Despite my initial reluctance, it's a book that managed to leave an indelible mark, thanks to its authentic narrative, well-crafted characters, and the clever interplay between past and present.
