My Thoughts:
I wasn’t as enamoured with this third book in the Eddie Flynn series. The fact that we have Eddie involved with another young girl who has been kidnapped was too soon after book one, whereby his daughter had been abducted. Yes, this storyline went in a completely different direction but to begin with, it felt very unoriginal. I like the fact that we get to meet Harper from the beginning. I’d already encountered her in books four and five that I read before going back to the beginning of this series. So it was nice to see how her and Eddie’s relationship began. The ending was quite complicated and took some unravelling in my mind. I’m afraid it has been a week since I finished this book, and I’ve not had a chance to write this review. However, this factor means it hasn’t left a lasting impression as I’ve forgotten a lot that happened already. So, for me, this was only a three-star read. It was still a good read but just wasn’t as good as the others I have read in this series. I am looking forward to re-reading ‘Thirteen’ next as I know I’m in for a treat with that one!
