Official Blurb:

“I thought I’d found a diamond in the rough but she was so much more.”
The minute Ella walked into my jewelry store, there was an instant attraction. She was there to interview for a job and was well qualified but, with her beauty and charisma, all I could see was her gorgeous face.
Hiring her was my first mistake because everyone knows that office romances never end well.
Taking her on a date was my second mistake because I knew it was more than business.
Bringing her back to my mansion? I wouldn’t call that a mistake because I was already head over heels for her.
They say diamonds are forever but my love for her will last longer than all eternity.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this story; it was quick and light. It didn’t go too heavy on the sex scenes, and it built up the relationship first between Ella and Brendan. They took it tentatively because of the age gap and him being her new boss. This allowed the romance to build; it didn’t feel rushed or forced even though the attraction was there from their very first meeting.
My only gripe was whether Brendan would be a millionaire from only owning two jewellery shops? One of which was only run by one sales assistant. I could have perhaps gotten on board with his status if they had rivalled Tiffany’s and had multiple floors and staff etc., but it seemed like a very small operation for him to be a billionaire.
So the story felt a little far-fetched but didn’t really hamper the overall enjoyment of the book. I’m glad I picked this up at last minute, and it was a pleasant one to end the series with!
