Dear Worst Enemy - Sher Dillard
Reading Challenge Category: A catch-up Flirt Club book
Official Blurb:
He was everything I didn’t want in a match. Too handsome for his own good. Tall, strong, overly confident. A player who thought he was God’s gift to women. The exact wrong man for me. Yet, somehow we ended up paired together at a charity ball. Somehow, we ended up having glorious enemy sex. The kind that could make a woman rethink her entire perspective on life. On men. But, can a one time thing with the wrong man lead to life’s answers? Can a woman’s worst enemy become the love of her life?
My Thoughts:
I’ve loved all of the Matchmaker series of books from the Flirt Club, mainly due to the theme of Grace and her letter-writing rules. So I was looking forward to finishing off the series and reading another instalment. However, I was a little disappointed to find that this didn’t follow the same formula as the others. Erica uses what appears to be just a bog-standard matchmaking service to match her up with William. This doesn’t mean this book is bad in anyway it was just a little disappointing that it hadn’t followed the same idea as the others in the series. Anyway, the story as a whole was a fun and flirty love story, the ending was the usual cliche that felt very rushed, and I did roll my eyes at it. It wasn’t needed and even just a year on to see them living happily ever after together would have been enough. However, for a 45-page book, I felt like I got to know the characters enough, there was chemistry there. It was a sweet and light-hearted quick read just what I was after just not what I was expecting, which is why I’m a little disappointed. I think if I’d read this as a simple standalone story, I would have enjoyed it much more.
