My Thoughts:

I didn’t think I’d read this book when I was younger but then came the words “I must I must I must improve my bust” and yup I remembered reading it lol.
I was shocked to see this on a banned book list. Forever, by Judy Blume was banned by mum when I was a teenager and I read this as part of the 2016 challenge. So, I thought I might as well read another of hers when the category came up again, and another had made it to the banned list. I can only assume it’s due to the religious overtone of the book, as Margaret is confused about which religion she should choose and goes on a journey of self-discovery. It is very tame, though, as it is written from the opinion of an innocent teenager. It is definitely written for teenagers. I rolled my eyes a few times (as an adult) especially when she wishes her period would hurry up and arrive, for goodness sake girl you’ll be regretting that wish in a few years’ time!!
